Being a manufacturer of paper products, our awareness is very much with the respectful use of natural materials and the long-term sustainability of these natural resources.

With this awareness we will always aim to protect and limit our environmental impact and are doing so in the following ways.

Paper Usage...

FSC^® paper is now standard for all Castelli collection diaries and notebooks (excluding Arles products).

FSC^® paper is now used in the production of our sales literature.

We have successfully implemented a paperless order processing system to ensure our paper usage is kept to a minimum.

Specially made products can also be produced from FSC^® paper when such requirements are detailed.

SEDEX Accreditation...

We have achieved SEDEX accreditation, ensuring when you purchase from Castelli you are buying from a responsible manufacturer.

Energy usage/manufacturing...

We have looked into reducing our power consumption through monitoring of power usage, to help reduce the peak power demands we create on our electricity supply. We have used an energy management company who have performed a full energy audit of Castelli to see where we can save on energy usage and have started to make improvements based on this audit.

We are in the process of upgrading our machinery which will offer high quality for our customers and is also more power efficient, drawing less energy.

Eco conscious packaging...

We have completed a review of the packaging that is sent to our customers. We have removed the plastic air pockets and have opted for a paper-based alternative that can be easily recycled or reused by our customers but will still protect our products.

We have introduced an alternative packaging solution for our digital print branding process which has moved away from shrink wrapping of our products to a recyclable paper based solution that still protects the product whilst being eco conscious.
